Incrementar la riqueza mineral, orgánica y microbiológica necesaria para que nuestros cultivos dispongan de las herramientas necesarias para convertirlas en alimentos enriquecidos. Incrementar la productividad total bruta y neta en precio de los productos enriquecidos obtenidos. Incrementar la sostenibilidad real aplicada a la reducción de las emisiones de GEIs. Recuperar la capacidad natural de nuestros suelos para producir la mineralización, generación continua de materia orgánica y su puesta a disposición inmediata para nuestros cultivos, recuperando el microbioma del suelo. Producir productos de alto valor añadido que supongan una mejora de la renta de nuestros productores

Objective of the project (in English):

Increase the mineral, organic and microbiological wealth necessary so that our crops have the necessary tools to convert them into enriched foods. Increase the total gross and net productivity in price of the fortified products obtained. Increase real sustainability applied to the reduction of GHG emissions. Recover the natural capacity of our soils to produce mineralization, continuous generation of organic matter and its immediate availability for our crops, recovering the soil microbiome. Produce products with high added value that imply an improvement in the income of our producers

Innovative project of supra-autonomous general interest based on: - The improvement of production processes to increase the "functional quality" of fruit and vegetable products and those resulting from their transformation. - The biotechnological creation of minerally enriched foods through innovative fertilization and post-harvest techniques for fruits and vegetables through the introduction of chelated surface mineral solutions. - Improving the nutritional quality of horticultural crops to increase the value of production by increasing their nutritional quality. - Reduction of affections and production losses derived from mineral and nutritional poverty of farmland caused by Climate Change. - Mitigation of climate change: action on soils for the agronomic improvement of crops and the increase in consumption and fixation of CO2 and GHGs. - Generation of innovative nutritionally fortified products, especially in minerals, to respond to the new demands of consumers and help promote the adoption of healthier lifestyles, through the transformation of the primary production system and the food industry.

The opportunity generated by the SUPERFOOD TECH project is applicable to the hundreds of thousands of hectares affected by mineral and nutritional degradation, and the proposed solution is equally valid regardless of the affected regions, crops and soil types or deficiencies identified. - The technical solution is valid for fruit and vegetable crops and the processing industry for these products. - Likewise, the solution is applicable in any environmental and climatic condition, so it can be used in multiple areas, types of affected soil, cultivation or management. - The solution proposed in this project will mean a large quantifiable increase in productivity and sustainability accessible to any farmer affected throughout the country and a necessary condition, in our opinion, to achieve a true involvement of those affected in solving the problem. - Consumers demand healthy foods, with recommended contents of nutrients, minerals and in sufficient doses that are compatible with the current diet and rhythm of life that prevent completing the recommended diets for healthy eating. - This project arises from the needs detected from those affected and the demanding users of enriched products in a natural, original way.

Added value will be created through a closer relationship between research and agricultural and forestry practices, and by promoting greater use of available knowledge. The application of real knowledge, reported and executed in TRL technological levels close to 7-8-9, will allow the start-up of more innovative projects, new areas of knowledge will be generated that are so necessary for end users as well as for research centers in this stuff. This added value starts from SUPERFOOD BIOTECH, but does not end with the end of the project. Green industries and biotechnology aimed at environmental bioremediation are a thriving reality promoted by the EU itself. The generation and transfer of knowledge is guaranteed by the implementation of this project that will allow farmers and agro-industries to highly value and improve their productivity and sustainable profitability, and the research teams to access a wide network of experimentation and demonstration points Thanks to the business and consumer organizations included.
