In the Circular Economy Action Plan of 2015, the Commission committed to provide guidance and dissemination of good practices on the cascading use of biomass.

To fulfill this commitment, the Commission has launched a survey to identify good practices that maximise the use and value of woody biomass and/or improve cascadibility at any point in the value chain, be it mechanical, pulp and paper, biorefineries, recycling, innovative ideas, etc.

The contribution can be done in any EU language.

This will support the Commission in its work on non-binding guidance for the cascading use of woody biomass in the context of the Circular Economy Action Plan, and eventually help disseminating good practices on resource efficient use of woody biomass.
